At the Field of Dreams in Massapequa, a community once again came together to raise money for their veterans by doing what they love: playing lacrosse. Between fundraising and donations, almost $113,000 went to organizations for wounded veterans. Shootout for Soldiers began in 2012 in Maryland and has since expanded to several venues. Photographed for the Massapequa Post.

Over 12,000 people battled the cold for Homecoming in Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium, making it the most attended football game in the stadium’s history. While the Seawolves started strong, scoring 14 in the first two quarters, Towson made a strong comeback and won 21-14. But at least it proved to be a good night for Valli Lakshmanan and Ruchi Shah, who were crowned homecoming king and queen. Photographed for the Stony Brook Independent.
